Jamal has spent that time refinishing original 1920s and 1930s hardwoods in older Pittsburgh neighborhoods, installing new floors in newer suburbs, and rebuilding bathrooms in homes that have been lived in long enough for the original fixtures to show their age. Experience matters most when something underneath surprises you: a hidden patch, a water-damaged board, a soft section near a radiator. We know how to handle the surprises.

Yes, we are licensed and insured to operate in Pittsburgh and the surrounding Allegheny County area. Insurance protects you when something goes wrong: refinishing and remodeling involve machinery, chemicals, and the kind of work that can damage walls, baseboards, or adjacent rooms if a contractor is not careful. You are welcome to ask to see proof on the in-person visit, and we are happy to share it.

It depends on the floor. Condition of the wood, square footage, stain and finish choice, the number of stairs and transitions, and whether any boards need replacing all move the number. We will not quote a hardwood refinish over the phone because the wrong number sets the wrong expectation on both sides. Free in-person measurement, look at the condition of the wood, conversation about stain and finish, then a written quote covering materials and labor in one number. No hidden fees, options at every budget.

Full range of flooring work: hardwood refinishing, installation, repair and restoration, stair refinishing, laminate, vinyl plank installation, and dustless refinishing. On the remodeling side: full bathroom remodels, shower remodels and tub-to-shower conversions, and kitchen cabinet and backsplash installation (cabinet and tile install only, not full kitchen remodels). We do not do carpet.
